Tell us about your life in a public service job

Welcome to CTViewpoints, the Connecticut Mirror’s opinion and commentary site.

We’ve set up this special portal to enable you to share your personal insight into Connecticut life and how it is shaped by public policy.

Send us your first-person account of what it is like in the classroom, the squad car, the half-way house, behind the counter at the DMV or any other public service job so that others can see the challenges you face in a better light.

We aren’t looking for polished op-ed pieces, rather stories about your jobs and the issues challenging them, told in about 500 -750 of your own words. (Don’t worry too much about the writing, by the way, we will help you with that if you want.)

We’ve set up this online portal to make submitting easier.  It has a place to paste your text and places to put your name, email address, telephone, and any photos you would like to submit, including a headshot to accompany your byline.  (Sorry, we can’t publish anonymous work.)

If you have any questions or problems, feel free to email Assistant Editor Paul Stern at pstern@ctmirror.org.
